Here goes
New to this and was just thinking. A year ago last Friday I returned from a belated gap year. Well 5 months working in Greece at the age of 53. I abandoned family, three kids/young adults who where then 22, 20 and 17 and a husband and dog. The joys of redundancy and what positives you can make of it. It was a great experience, lousy money, 6 days a week work but 5 months in Greece. I was doing accounts in a holiday hotel with people having fun. The guests where just out to enjoy themselves and the other staff where driven by similar motives, most of the time. I loved the experience. Hubby and two daughters all came out on a weeks holiday. My son never got his act together, that's boys for you, so missed out. My youngest also came out on two weeks work experience. I came home relaxed, more confident and full of good memories. So in these uncertain times if the worst happens and get made redundant take a chance.
